The things that have happened here...

WOW is all I can say...
I just can't believe that I never finished my Disney trip blog...OK so who am I trying to fool..I don't ever finish anything I start.Come to my house..walk into our computer/sewing room and you will see what I am talking about.I have 3 sets of flip flops made...and they don't have bows yet.I have fabric that I laid out this morning with the intentions of making something pretty...never got around to it.Instead I spent 2 hours .. YES 2 cleaning Mojo out of my fridge..!! And chicken juice..GAG!! So I have to say my fridge is sanitized from top to bottom.Note to self...next time put the ziploc into a deep bowl instead of on a plate!!

Well...The Disney trip was fun.And if I could remember it all I would finish blogging about it.But I can't..so on to the next thing.

Erinlee ended 1st grade on a high note. Here we don't have letter grades in 1st grade,we have numbers. She finished the year with straight 3's which is equal to A's in the other schools. We are so very proud of the student she has become. It's like after Christmas something snapped in her and she was a reading wiz.She got a Reading Hero medal in an assembly! To accomplish that you have to read over 10000 words! She is going to be a book worm like us! YAY! She is currently reading Mr Poppers Penguins. She wants to see the movie so hubby told her there was a book.So we went to the library and she checked it out.We looked up the AR points on it and it is a 5.6 level book! She stumbles over a few words but not many. Not enough by the 5 finger rule to not be able to read it on her own.

She was in the talent show...I don't know if I talked about that. She loves music and always has.She learns lyrics super fast and has always belted out some tunes in the shower...So she wanted to sing in front of her friends at school. The lunch room was full of strange faces that night .. but it didn't stop her.She did an AWESOME job for someone so little and who has never had a day of chorus in her life. She 'sang' a little at school in K but it wasn't anything like this...
Well she wants to play the violin..I don't know where to find a teacher but that's next on my list of things to do.
She heard about auditions for a musical. She didn't care she wanted to audition. It was for the Sound of Music. So off we went. She sang Grenade ... and told a joke ... lots of smiles and giggles. We got a call back on Wednesday and she was chosen to be Marta von Trapp...!! What a cool role to have in one of Mommie's favorite musicals of all time. She is in LOVE with musicals ... and I am thinking that this is her thing.Everyone at the audition loved her and her personality really came out.I can't wait to see the production.I know it's going to be long hours but it's the summer. She only has tumble..but we can work through that.I have had many people tell me she was going to be famous...hmmmmm wonder if this is the start of her path. It's going to be a long one if it is but that's what we are here for....If she wants to try who are we to tell her NO.She wants to be on Broadway...so we'll see..Dreams start when people are young and I want her to follow hers! I told her she doesn't have to stop at the stars...she can go beyond them if she wants to :) And I am sure she will.

I believe that I am going to take our laptop or my mother's on ESH's birthday trip and trip report as we go...Maybe that way I'll get a decent trip report out of it.
Maybe I'll start about a month before we leave...that might force me to keep up with it.. HAHAHAHA Yea right.

Tumble has started at the gym for the summer...The cheer season is over ... We are sad about that but she will be back next year. She loves it.It has been a slow moving process but she accomplished her standing back bend a few weeks back. And now we are working on kicking over. She almost has it.Then on to backhand springs..WHEW that one scares me..but she can do it.I have faith in her :)

Enough rambling...If I think of anything..I'll be sure to blog it!
